These organic local Berkshire Free Range Turkeys are available in the following weights and can be ordered for Christmas.
They are slow rearing and are recognised as having a fuller flavour than the alternatives. With giblets, rosemary and a pop up timer.
5.0kg to 5.99kg / 11lb to 13lb 3oz (serves 10-12)
6.0kg to 6.99kg / 13lb 3oz to 15lb 6oz (serves 12-14)
7.0kg to 7.99kg / 15lb 6oz to 17lb 10oz (serves 14-16)
8.0kg to 8.99kg /17lb 10oz to 19lb 13oz (serves 16-18)
9.0kg to 9.99kg / 19lb 13oz to 22lb (serves 18-20)
We recommend choosing Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd for delivery of your fresh Christmas turkey.
Earlier delivery slots are available if you are going to freeze the turkey before Christmas day.
Please specify where it should be left if you are out. (neighbour, garage, doorstep etc) You can do this by adding a note on the checkout page.
Ensure you leave a mobile number for the courier to text you on the day with your delivery slot.
Walters Turkeys produce the finest quality Christmas turkeys by carefully selecting slow growing breeds that reach full maturity naturally. All the turkeys have plenty of space to run about in and enjoy natural daylight.
From late summer the free range turkeys live in large airy barns that open on to green downland fields. Every day they explore their natural surroundings pecking at the grass and bales in the fresh air. Meanwhile, traditional barn reared white turkeys live in spacious straw bedded barns.
Traditional Free Range bronze and white turkeys are fed on home grown cereals. This is all milled on the farm. No growth promoters are ever added to the food.
The Organic Turkeys are reared in exactly the same way on a local organic farm, and fed on high quality organic feed. Walters are one of the few Organic Turkey producers in the country that hang and dry pluck their turkeys in the traditional way.
We believe our turkeys are full of flavour and very moist due to the traditional methods used to prepare the turkeys. The turkeys are dry plucked and are hand finished (this includes the the wing tips which are not chopped off) and then they are hung for at least 7 days in refrigerated storage rooms. The turkeys are then dressed in purpose built preparation areas. The turkeys in the supermarket are not the same.

Your turkey will be ready for the oven, with a free pop-up timer and a sprig of rosemary. The Pop-Up ® helps you to cook the turkey to perfection. Simply insert it into the Turkey before cooking and when it’s ready it will pop up.
